Hey local queers - let’s get outside and enjoy the spring blooms together!
RSVP for Free Below
Join us for a free Wildflower Walk on May 10th at 10am at Champoeg State Park. The camas and fritillary will be wrapping up their bloom season, and there’s no better time to wander the trails and fields together in search of spring beauty.
This will be a casual, low-key walk - perfect for taking in the sights, chatting with new friends, and reconnecting with nature. We’ll stroll for an hour or two on a mix of paved trails and muddy fields. Weather permitting, we’ll stick around after for a relaxed picnic lunch.
I’m Hayden - a queer woman who lives just across the road on my new flower farm. The Champoeg area has been my family’s home for six generations and I’m excited to share some of my favorite wildflower spots with you. Living in a rural area can be isolating, so I wanted to create a space for small-town queers (and our allies!) to connect, explore, and enjoy the beauty of spring together.
What to bring:
Waterproof shoes or boots (it might be muddy!)
Layers for changing weather: sunscreen, sweaters, raincoats, hats
Binoculars or a camera
Wildflower or bird ID books
Snacks, water, and a picnic lunch if you want to hang out after
